Egress fees are what cloud providers charge you when you download your own data. AWS S3, for example, charges per GB downloaded. HummingTribe charges nothing for egress — you can download your data as many times as you like at no extra cost.
Your data is stored on a RAID array, which protects against disk failure. However, this is not a backup service — it is a storage service. If you delete a file, it's gone. We recommend using this as part of a broader backup strategy, not as your only copy.
